2020 Royal Canin CPD – “Behaviour”
On Friday, 7th February 2020, Saint Vincent Group hosted a very successful Royal Canin CPD on Behaviour, held in Palace Downtown. This event attracted close to 70 veterinarians, nurses and practice owners/managers.
This event was in partnership with German Veterinary Clinic (GVC), and we are delighted to welcome two speakers; Dr Theresa L. DePorter (SVM, MRCVS, SECAWBM, SACVB) from the USA and Dr Katrin Jahn (DrMedVet, CertVA, MRCVS), founder and General Manager of GVC, in Abu Dhabi.
Dr DePorter is a Board Certified Veterinary Behaviourist at Oakland Veterinary Referral Services in Metropolitan Detroit Michigan USA. Her presentations covered both canine and feline development and socialization, as well as use of psychotropic medications and nutraceuticals in clinical practice.
Dr Katrin Jahn graduated from the University of Munich, Germany in 1999 after which she spent 7 years working in both general and referral practice in the UK. During this time Dr Katrin completed her doctorate thesis on Animal Behaviour, and is currently completing a four year residency in Veterinary Behaviour Medicine, Dr Jahn’s presentations covered canine development and inappropriate urination in cats.
It was an honor to welcome Dr Theresa L. DePorter to share her experience and knowledge, and we are delighted to support Dr Katrin in her mission to promote the importance of the emotional well-being of our pets with our veterinary community.
